Nutmeg Powder (Jaifal Powder)

Nutmeg powder, also known as Jaifal powder, is a spice made from the seed of the nutmeg tree (Myristica fragrans). The nutmeg seed is dried, and the outer coating is removed, leaving behind the inner seed. This inner seed is then ground into a fine powder to make nutmeg powder.

Nutmeg powder has a warm, spicy, and slightly sweet flavour, with a rich and aromatic aroma. It is commonly used in both sweet and savoury dishes, such as pies, custards, soups, stews, and meat dishes. Nutmeg powder is also a key ingredient in many spice blends, such as garam masala and pumpkin spice.
